How to Open and Read the Loot Journal

The Loot Journal is a client-side pickup log, so it lives on your screen rather than in a block or chest. Everything it tracks is based on items entering your inventory.

Opening the Journal

Look for a keybind in your Controls menu under the Loot Journal category. Bind it to something comfortable, then press it in-game to toggle the journal overlay. Because the mod is client-side, the keybind works in singleplayer and on any server without the server needing the mod.

Reading the Log

Once open, the journal lists the items you have picked up, most recent entries first. Each entry shows the item and a running count of how many of that item you currently hold. The count reflects your inventory, so dropping or using items will change the number the next time it updates.

Practical Tips

  • Keep the journal closed during combat so it does not cover your hotbar.
  • Reopen it after a mining trip to confirm you actually collected the ores you were chasing.
  • If an entry seems stale, pick up any item to trigger a refresh of the log.
