Making Modded Items Show Up in Dungeon Chests

How Modded Compatibility Works

One of the main features of Loot Integrations is that it automatically includes modded items in the loot it generates, so chests in When Dungeons Arise structures can contain gear from the other mods in your pack. This is what makes a modded playthrough feel cohesive instead of forcing you to craft everything yourself.

Steps To Get Modded Loot Appearing

  • Confirm the mods you want represented are actually installed and loading. Loot Integrations can only pull items from mods that are present in the instance; it does not add items on its own.
  • Explore structures from the supported mods. The integration covers When Dungeons Arise plus the companion structure mods it lists, so loot from those builds is where you will see the cross-mod items.
  • Check that your other content mods register their items normally. If a mod's items are gated behind configs or disabled, they will not appear in loot either.
  • Expect variety, not guarantees. Because loot is randomized and balanced, any given chest may or may not contain a specific modded item. Open more chests to see the full range.
  • If a modded item never appears, it is usually because that mod is not installed, not because the integration failed.

Treat this as a passive enhancement: install your content mods, then loot dungeons as usual.
