Testing Whether Loot Injection Is Working in Your World

Set Up a Controlled Test

Guessing from normal play is unreliable because loot is random. Build a repeatable test instead.

1. Create a test world with the same mod list as your real world.

2. Locate or build several identical loot sources - for example, a row of dungeon spawners or a set of structure chests you can reach quickly in creative mode.

3. Open every chest and record the items you find.

4. Repeat in a second test world that has Loot Integrations and this addon removed, keeping everything else identical.

What You Are Looking For

You are not looking for a specific item. You are looking for items that come from your installed content mods appearing in chests that are vanilla in origin. If the only difference between the two worlds is the presence of modded items in vanilla chests, injection is working.

Common False Alarms

  • Already-generated chests. Loot is rolled once. Chests in chunks you explored before installing the addon will not change.
  • Few content mods installed. With a light pack, the injected pool is small and results look almost vanilla.
  • Structure loot vs. chest loot. Some containers are not chests and use different tables.
  • Datapack overrides. A pack datapack can replace a table in a way that changes what injection sees.

If a fresh world with a content-heavy mod list still shows nothing new, verify the base Loot Integrations mod is loaded.
