Build Your First Bug Habitat

Gather Your Materials

Start by collecting string and sticks to craft a Catching Net. You'll need these to capture insects before housing them. Once you have a net, find butterflies or moths flying in your world and right-click them to catch them.

Construct and Stock Your Habitat

Place netting blocks in your desired location to build the walls and structure of your bug cage. The netting allows insects to move freely while keeping them contained. You can customize the size and shape to fit your build aesthetic.

Once your habitat is built, right-click inside it while holding a caught bug to release it. The insect will now live in your custom space.

Keep Them Happy

Place a Butterfly Feeder block inside your habitat and fill it with a Sugar-Water Bowl. This keeps your bugs healthy and content. You can refill the feeder as needed to maintain their well-being. Bugs that are well-fed will stay active and visible in your habitat longer.
