Create Your First Custom Region

Getting Started

To create a named region, you'll need the Master Compass. Hold it in your hand, then hold Shift and Right Click to open the main menu.

Drawing the Region Boundaries

From the menu, select the option to create a new region. You'll enter the visual region editor mode. Use click and drag to draw a 3D box around the area you want to name—this could be your base, a shop, or any landmark. The blue boundary particles will show you exactly where your region extends.

Naming Your Region

Once you've defined the boundaries, you'll be prompted to enter a custom name for your area. Type something descriptive that will help you and other players identify the location. After you confirm the name, you'll receive a custom advancement and hear a special sound effect to celebrate your first region.

Viewing Your Region

Walk into your newly created region and the name will appear in the text display at the top of your screen, along with the current in-game time. The text will fade in smoothly as you cross the border.
