Craft Your First Stone Tool Set
Gather Your Materials
Collect stone blocks of your chosen type. Common early-game options include cobblestone (mined anywhere), andesite, diorite, or granite (found underground). You'll also need sticks—craft these from wood planks or collect them from the ground.
Use the Crafting Table
Open a crafting table and arrange your materials using standard tool recipes:
- Pickaxe: Place stone blocks in a T-shape with sticks forming the handle
- Axe: Arrange blocks and sticks in an L-shape
- Sword: Stack stone blocks vertically with a stick below
- Shovel: Place one stone block on top of a stick column
- Hoe: Position blocks and sticks in the hoe pattern
The exact layout follows vanilla Minecraft crafting patterns—if you know how to make wooden or stone tools normally, you already know how to make these.
Check Your Tool's Stats
Once crafted, hover over your new tool in your inventory to see its tooltip. This displays the tool's attack power and durability. Different stone types have different performance levels based on their hardness, so experiment with materials you find to discover which suits your playstyle.
