Using the Chant System
Chanting increases your attack power before unleashing techniques. This mechanic is core to dealing maximum damage in combat.
How to Chant
1. Press and hold Z to begin charging your active ability
2. Hold Z longer to build up more power—your Cursed Energy meter will deplete gradually
3. Release Z to fire the charged attack with increased damage output
4. The longer you hold, the more powerful the attack, but you consume more energy
Tips for Effective Chanting
- Use chanting before domain clashes to maximize damage when it matters most
- Watch your Cursed Energy HUD meter—stop charging if energy runs too low
- For quick combos, tap Z for uncharged attacks instead of holding
- Some abilities (like Hollow Purple or Dismantle) benefit significantly from longer charges
- Position yourself safely before chanting, as you cannot move while holding Z
