Perform Sneak Attacks for Double Damage

How Sneaking Works

Press Shift to sneak. While sneaking, mobs won't detect you just by proximity—they must actually be looking in your direction to spot you.

Landing a Sneak Attack

To perform a sneak attack:

1. Sneak (hold Shift) and approach an enemy mob

2. Stay out of the mob's line of sight

3. Melee attack the mob with a sword or other weapon before it detects you

4. You'll deal 2x damage on that hit

Strategic Use

Sneak attacks are most effective against:

• Mobs that move predictably or stand still
• Groups where you can pick off one target without alerting others
• Dangerous enemies where the extra damage gives you an advantage

Once a mob detects you, sneaking no longer provides the damage bonus—it only prevents detection.

Combat Tip

Combat-affinity classes benefit most from sneak attacks since they gain XP from mob kills. Use this mechanic to maximize both damage and efficiency.
