When You Hit Level 5

Once you reach level 5, you'll be able to select your first class. Press L to open the skills menu and look for the class selection option.

Understanding Class Bonuses

Each class gives you:

• +10 levels in one primary skill
• +5 levels in two secondary skills
• An affinity that boosts XP gain from a specific activity:
• Mining classes: Extra XP every 3 ores mined
• Crafting classes: Extra XP every 5 crafts with approved ingredients
• Combat classes: Instant XP when killing hostile mobs

How to Choose

Think about your playstyle. If you spend most time mining, pick a mining-affinity class. If you craft frequently, choose a crafting class. Combat-focused players should select a combat class.

Your choice isn't permanent—you can use the Book of Unlearning later to respec and pick a different class, though this will reset all your skills and return your skill points.

After selecting your class, start playing normally. Your affinity will automatically grant bonus XP as you perform your chosen activity.
