Understanding Spell Evolution
Possessed Soul Blade is unique—it shifts magic schools as it levels up. At lower levels, it functions as an Evocation spell, striking targets with spectral blade attacks. At level 3 and beyond, the spell transitions into Blood magic, gaining new properties and scaling with blood-based power instead.
Leveling to Unlock the Transition
Cast Possessed Soul Blade repeatedly in combat to gain experience. Track your spell level in your spellbook interface. Once you reach level 3, the spell's description and mechanics will update, reflecting its new Blood magic identity.
Adapting Your Build
Before reaching level 3, invest in Evocation spell power for maximum damage. Once the transition occurs, begin shifting your focus toward Blood magic scaling. This dual-school design lets you experiment with hybrid builds—use Possessed Soul Blade early-game with Evocation support, then pivot to Blood magic strategies as the spell matures. This flexibility makes it valuable across all progression stages.
