Efficiently Train Skills Through Combat Practice

The Proficiency System

Unlike traditional RPGs, you don't unlock skills instantly. Instead, you must use them repeatedly in real combat to increase their proficiency and effectiveness. Passive skills also require practice.

Training Strategy

1. Equip skills you want to improve. Open your Skill Management screen and select which abilities to focus on during your next hunt.

2. Use skills consistently in fights. Cast spells, perform attacks, and activate abilities as often as possible. Each use counts toward proficiency growth.

3. Fight enemies at your level. Combat against appropriately difficult foes yields better proficiency gains than stomping weak creatures.

4. Rotate your active skills. If you only use one attack, others stagnate. Deliberately switch between different abilities to level them all.

5. Track progress in Skill Management. Monitor which skills are lagging and dedicate future fights to training them.

Long-Term Planning

Before committing to an evolution path, consider which skills align with your chosen form. Some evolutions synergize better with magic, others with physical combat. Train accordingly to maximize your effectiveness post-evolution.
