Making Kotlin-Based Mods Work Together Without Conflicts
Why Conflicts Happen
Multiple mods can all depend on Kotlin for Forge at the same time, and that is normal. Problems arise when you have several copies of the library, mismatched versions, or mods built against different library versions. The library is designed to be shared, so one correct copy serves every dependent mod.
Keeping a Single Library Copy
Open your mods folder and confirm there is exactly one Kotlin for Forge file. Delete any duplicates, including older versions you may have left behind after updating. If two dependent mods seem to demand different library versions, keep the newer library and check whether the older dependent mod has an update available, since it may need to be refreshed to match.
Testing the Load Order
Launch the game and watch the Mods list populate. If a dependent mod is missing or flagged, note its name and check the log for dependency errors tied to it. Isolate the problem by temporarily removing other recently added mods, then re-add them one at a time. This tells you whether the conflict is between two dependent mods or between a dependent mod and an unrelated one. Once the list loads cleanly, your setup is stable.
