Creating a Wildlife Sanctuary

Planning Your Sanctuary Layout

Design separate enclosures for different biome types. Group animals by their natural habitat—create a savanna section for servals and impalas, a desert area for chuckwallas and California kingsnakes, and a penguin habitat with cold biome blocks. Use terrain and vegetation to match each species' real environment as closely as possible.

Building Appropriate Habitats

Each animal thrives in specific conditions. Penguins need cold biomes and water access, while tree-dwelling species like red pandas and Matchie's tree kangaroos require tall trees and elevated platforms. Desert dwellers need sand and minimal water. Research each species' real-world habitat and replicate key features—vegetation type, elevation, water sources, and climate blocks.

Maintenance and Observation

Keep enclosures well-lit to prevent unwanted mob spawns. Provide food sources appropriate to each species' diet. Leave viewing areas where you can safely observe animal behavior without disturbing them. Consider adding informational signs near each enclosure to educate visitors about the species' conservation status and real-world habitat.
