Updating Konkrete Safely Without Breaking the Mods That Depend On It
Treat it as a group, not a single file
Because Konkrete is a shared library, updating it in isolation can break every mod built against an older version. Before you replace anything, note which of your installed mods list Konkrete as a dependency, then check whether those mods have newer builds available too. The safe move is to update the whole group in one session rather than one file at a time.
Step-by-step
1. Back up your mods folder and your world saves first. Library updates occasionally change how dependent mods store data, and a backup makes rollback painless.
2. Remove the old Konkrete file and drop in the new one. Do not keep both; duplicate library files cause their own startup errors.
3. Update each dependent mod to a build that supports the new Konkrete, or leave it if it already does.
4. Launch and watch the log for dependency warnings before loading a world.
5. Load a test world, not your main one, and confirm the dependent mods behave normally.
If it goes wrong
If a dependent mod stops working after the update, the fastest fix is to restore the previous Konkrete build from your backup and hold off until that mod catches up. Mixing a new library with an old dependent mod is the usual culprit.
