Deciding Whether You Need Konkrete and Managing It in a Modpack

Do you actually need it?

You only need Konkrete if at least one of your other mods requires it. Installing it on its own changes nothing about the game. If you are building a pack from scratch, add Konkrete only when a mod you want lists it as a dependency, and add it at that moment rather than preemptively.

Managing it inside a pack

1. Let the pack's dependency list drive your choices. When you add a mod that needs Konkrete, add Konkrete too, matching the version that mod expects.

2. Keep exactly one copy. Two Konkrete files in the mods folder is a common mistake when merging packs and will cause load errors.

3. When you remove the last mod that depended on Konkrete, you can remove Konkrete as well. Leaving it in place is harmless, but it does nothing.

4. If you distribute a pack, include Konkrete only if a bundled mod needs it, and keep it consistent with those mods.

Troubleshooting pack conflicts

If two mods in your pack want different Konkrete versions, resolve it by choosing builds that share a common version, or drop one of the conflicting mods. There is no config setting that lets a single Konkrete install serve two incompatible version requirements, so the fix is always at the mod-selection level.
