Optimize Your Game Performance
Why Render Distance Matters
The map requires adequate render distance to display all terrain, effects, and other players properly. Poor visibility directly impacts your ability to see threats and navigate safely.
Setting Render Distance
1. Open your Minecraft video settings
2. Locate the Render Distance slider
3. Set it to 12 chunks or higher
4. Apply and confirm the change
5. Return to the Kit Spleef Map and start playing
Performance Troubleshooting
If your game stutters or lags despite meeting the render distance requirement:
- Lower other graphics settings (particles, shadows, reflections)
- Close background applications consuming RAM
- Allocate more memory to Minecraft if possible
- Reduce the number of active players in the match
- Ensure you're playing on the correct Minecraft version specified by the map
Verify Your Setup
Before blaming lag for poor performance, confirm you're using the intended version. Playing on an incompatible version causes crashes and glitches, not just performance issues.
