Find and Raid Your First Ogre Outpost

Locating an Outpost

Ogre outposts spawn in plains and swamp biomes. Explore these areas on foot or horseback—you'll spot the distinctive structures and patrolling ogres. Start with plains outposts, as they tend to have lighter defenses than swamp variants.

Raiding Strategy

Approach carefully and assess guard positions. Ogre Guards are small but stubborn and won't abandon their posts, so you may need to fight through them. Ogre Grunts and Archers will aggress on sight—use terrain and cover to your advantage.

Once guards are cleared, loot the chests inside. Early outposts contain basic treasure and—most importantly—Fort Maps. These maps are essential for locating the main Ogre Fort.

Managing Tribe Anger

Raiding raises the tribe's anger level. Check your current anger status by holding H. If the tribe becomes too angry, hunting patrols will track you down. Plan your raids strategically to avoid being overwhelmed by reinforcements.
