Understanding the Focus Bar

The Focus Bar is a special mechanic that enables rapid Shotlock attacks—a signature Kingdom Hearts combat technique. This bar builds during combat as you land hits on enemies and take damage. Watch for the focus bar indicator on your screen to track your progress.

Building Focus During Combat

Engage enemies actively to fill your Focus Bar faster. Land consecutive hits with your Keyblade, cast spells, and use reaction commands to accelerate the buildup. The more aggressive you are, the quicker your bar fills.

Unleashing Shotlock Attacks

Once your Focus Bar reaches sufficient capacity, you can unleash a Shotlock attack. This triggers a rapid-fire barrage of energy projectiles that lock onto multiple targets simultaneously. Activate it through your Command Menu or a keybind when the bar is ready.

Strategic Use

Shotlock attacks are most effective against groups of enemies or tough single targets. Use them when surrounded or when facing a boss-level Heartless. The attack consumes your Focus Bar, so plan your usage carefully during extended battles.
