Install Required Mods

King of the Nether requires additional mods to render its custom 3D monster shapes. You have two options:

  • OptiFine: Install OptiFine for your Minecraft version and enable it in your launcher.
  • Alternative: Install both Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF) mods instead.

Both setups allow the pack's redesigned skeletons, blazes, and Wither boss to display correctly.

Load the Resource Pack

1. Place the King of the Nether resource pack file in your .minecraft/resourcepacks folder.

2. Launch Minecraft and open Options > Resource Packs.

3. Find King of the Nether in the available packs list and move it to the active side.

4. Confirm the pack loads—you should see a confirmation message.

5. Return to the world. Custom models will now appear on all Nether mobs.

Verify It's Working

Travel to the Nether and look for Wither Skeleton Knights with glowing blue eyes and heavy armor. Blazes should have a darker, more detailed appearance. If mobs still look vanilla, restart your game and check that OptiFine or EMF/ETF are properly enabled.
