Give Commands and Control Your Companion's Behavior

Using the Command Menu

Press K while your companion is summoned to open the action menu. This interface lets you issue direct orders:

• Follow: Your companion stays close and moves with you
• Stay: Companion remains in place until commanded otherwise
• Sit: Companion sits down and waits
• Wander: Companion explores freely within a set radius

Adjusting Behavior Settings

Access the behavior settings screen to customize how your companion responds:

• Use sliders to set the follow radius (how close they stay when following)
• Adjust the wander radius (how far they explore when in wander mode)

Advanced Control

For more precise commands, use chat:

• /ask <message> sends a message to your active companion
• /az ask <message> directs a message to a specific named companion

These commands work best when your companion has a configured personality and optional language model setup, allowing them to respond contextually to your instructions.
