Fixing Paintings That Won't Change or Show Correctly

If your paintings still look vanilla or show broken textures, the problem is almost always pack order, a conflict, or a stale reload. Work through these checks in order.

Verify Pack Order and Conflicts

Open Resource Packs and confirm the Kehaan pack is selected and positioned above any other pack that also edits paintings. Two packs touching the same textures will fight, and the higher one wins. Move Kehaan above the conflicting pack, or disable the other one.

Force a Texture Reload

After changing pack order, reload textures with F3+T so the game re-reads the files. Simply toggling the pack off and on also works. If paintings remain unchanged, restart the game to clear any cached textures.

Rule Out Other Causes

Broken purple-black textures mean the pack is not loading that file, not that the painting is buggy. Confirm you are placing actual vanilla Paintings and not a modded decoration item, since the pack only affects vanilla painting textures. If only some paintings change, that is expected: the pack replaces a subset of the vanilla set, so untouched motifs keep their original look.
