Getting Started with Ore Seeds

To begin growing ores, you need to obtain seeds for the ore you want to cultivate. Seeds can be found by breaking the corresponding ore blocks in the world, or by crafting them if recipes are available in your modpack.

Planting and Growing

1. Find or craft ore seeds for your desired ore type

2. Plant seeds on farmland, dirt, or grass blocks (similar to vanilla crops)

3. Water the area using water blocks or irrigation systems — ores grow faster with hydration

5. Harvest the fully-grown ore reed by breaking it

6. Collect the ore drops, which can be smelted or processed normally

Tips for Efficiency

Growing multiple ore types in organized rows makes harvesting easier. Consider using bone meal to speed up growth if available in your modpack. Deepslate ore variants require the same growing conditions as their regular counterparts, so you can mix them in the same farm. Some ores like ancient debris and obsidian may have slower growth rates, so plan your farm layout accordingly.
