Understanding Slow-Growing Ores

Ancient debris and obsidian grow significantly slower than standard ores. Plan accordingly and dedicate patient farming strategies to these valuable materials.

Cultivation Strategy

1. Obtain ancient debris or obsidian seeds through mining or crafting

2. Plant in a dedicated, well-watered section of your farm

3. Apply bone meal regularly to accelerate growth if available

4. Use growth-boosting blocks or systems from other mods if compatible

5. Harvest when fully mature and repeat

Maximizing Output

Since these ores grow slowly, plant many seeds to ensure consistent harvests. Separate them from faster-growing ores so you're not waiting for the entire farm to mature. Consider using multiple small farms in different locations to increase total yield. If your modpack includes Mystical Agriculture or similar mods, check if there are alternative ways to obtain these materials that might complement your ore farm. Store harvested ancient debris and obsidian safely, as they're valuable for crafting and building.
