Start by crafting the Essentials guidebook using basic materials—this unlocks your introduction to the mod's magic system. The book teaches you how to draw ritual diagrams on the ground, which form the foundation of all magical work.

Once you understand the patterns, you can form contracts to bind nearby mobs or awaken spirits trapped inside items and blocks. As you progress, claim three permanent magical milestones: choose an Implement to channel your power, bond with a Familiar to assist you, and establish your own Demesne territory.

Remember that power comes with a cost. Push your spells too far and you'll face magical backlashes and accumulate karmic debt. Balance ambition with caution as you build your magical practice.
