How to Turn On White Noise Shaders and See the Corrupted World
White Noise Shaders is a shader pack, so it needs a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine to run. Once a loader is installed, the pack is switched on from inside the game.
Activating the pack
1. Launch Minecraft with your shader loader active.
2. From the title screen or pause menu, open Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs.
3. If White Noise Shaders isn't listed, click the button that opens the shader packs folder, place the pack file there, and return to the menu. It should now appear in the list.
4. Select White Noise Shaders and click Apply or Done.
5.
What you should see
If the pack is working, the change is obvious right away:
- Block textures and the skybox are covered in heavy visual static.
- Edges of the screen show strong chromatic aberration, with colours splitting apart.
- Screen tear effects cut across your view.
- Lighting and shadows look strange and corrupted instead of natural.
If your world looks like normal vanilla Minecraft, the pack isn't active. Go back to the Shader Packs menu and check that it is selected rather than "Off" or "None". Also confirm that you launched the game with the loader profile, not plain vanilla.
