Show Off Water and Glossy Block Reflections with VynixShader
VynixShader adds smooth surface reflections to water and to selected glossy blocks. Its water is designed to look clear. Here's how to place builds where those features stand out.
Set Up a Good Reflection Spot
1. Find or dig a calm, open body of water, such as a lake, an ocean shoreline, or a pond you build yourself.
2. Build or stand so a structure, trees, or the sky sit behind the water from your viewpoint. Reflections show best when there's something interesting to mirror.
3. Visit during the day for bright, clear water. Return at dusk to see warmer tones on the surface.
4. Keep the water surface still and uncluttered. Lily pads and kelp breaking the surface will interrupt the reflection.
Test Glossy Blocks
The reflections apply only to certain glossy blocks, not every block.
1. In Creative mode, lay out a test strip of smooth, shiny-looking blocks next to each other.
2. Walk past the strip and watch which ones catch the light and surroundings.
3. Use the blocks that react for floors, counters, or trim in your builds.
If Reflections Look Off
1. Open the shader pack's settings through your loader.
2. Make sure any reflection options are turned on.
3. Raise Render Distance slightly, since distant terrain can't reflect if it isn't loaded.
4. Reload the shader after changing settings.
