Explore Caves and Nights Comfortably with VynixShader Lighting
VynixShader lights up dark caves and night environments with warm, balanced block light. It also improves overall ambient brightness while keeping the vanilla style. Use this to make underground trips and nighttime travel easier on your eyes.
Light Caves the Smart Way
1. Carry plenty of torches or lanterns. Placed light sources give off the pack's warm glow, so a few well-spaced lights cover more ground visually.
2. Place lights at tunnel junctions and in ore pockets. Watch how soft shadows fall across the walls to spot side passages you might miss.
3. Glance back as you go. The warm light along your torch trail makes the way out easy to follow.
4. Remember that the lighting is mostly cosmetic. Mobs still spawn in vanilla darkness, so light dangerous areas properly.
Fine-Tune Brightness
1. If caves still feel too dark, open Options > Video Settings and raise vanilla Brightness.
2. If you want more control, open the shader pack's settings through your loader:
- Iris: Shader Packs
- OptiFine: Shaders
3. Look for any brightness or lighting options the pack offers, and adjust them a step at a time.
4. Check the result in both a cave and on the surface at night. That way, daytime doesn't end up washed out.
Night Travel
On the surface, warm block light from villages and your own bases stands out at night. Lit buildings work as easy landmarks when you're heading home.
