Fix Vix Shaders Not Showing Up or Not Applying
If you've added Vix Enchanced Vibrant Shaders but the world still looks plain vanilla, the problem is almost always the setup, not the pack itself.
The pack isn't in the list
- No shader loader: without Iris or OptiFine, there's no shader menu in Video Settings. Launch the game using the profile that includes your loader.
- Wrong folder: shader packs go in
shaderpacks, notresourcepacks. Open the folder from the shader menu itself to be sure you're in the right one. - Extracted files: if you unzipped the pack, delete the loose folder and put the original
.zipback. - Menu not refreshed: close the shader menu and open it again, or restart the game.
The pack is listed but nothing changes
1. Make sure you clicked the pack and then pressed Apply or Done. Selecting it alone isn't always enough.
2.
3. Check your loader's keybinds under Options > Controls. Iris has a key that toggles shaders on and off, and you may have pressed it by mistake.
4. Turn off other shader-related or rendering mods one at a time to rule out a conflict.
Sudden lag after enabling
This pack aims for steady framerates. If FPS suddenly drops, compare it with the shaders off. Then lower your render distance, as explained in the performance guide.
