Optimize Vivid Swift Lighting for Your Computer
Check Your Current Performance
Before adjusting settings, launch your world and open the debug screen (F3) to monitor your frame rate. Note your baseline FPS with the shader active.
Access Shader Settings
Press the shader configuration key (usually Shift + O or through your launcher's shader menu) to open the Vivid Swift Lighting settings panel. Look for performance-related options like shadow quality, lighting detail, or render distance adjustments.
Reduce Visual Quality for Better FPS
If you're experiencing lag:
- Lower shadow resolution or disable dynamic shadows
- Reduce the number of light sources being calculated
- Decrease ambient occlusion quality if available
- Disable or minimize bloom and glow effects
Test and Adjust
Make one change at a time, then play for a minute to see the impact on your frame rate. The shader is designed to run on standard computers, so even modest adjustments should yield noticeable improvements. Once you find a balance between visuals and performance, save your configuration so it persists across sessions.
