Turn On Vantage PVP Shaders with Iris or OptiFine
Vantage PVP Shaders works with both Iris and OptiFine. You turn it on through your loader's shader menu, not the resource pack screen.
Enabling it on Iris
1. From the title screen or pause menu, open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs.
2. Look for Vantage PVP Shaders in the list. If it is missing, click Open Shader Pack Folder and check that the pack file is inside the shaderpacks folder. It should not be in resourcepacks.
3. Click the pack, press Apply, then Done.
4. The world will reload with the new look.
Enabling it on OptiFine
1. Open Options > Video Settings > Shaders.
2. Click Vantage PVP Shaders in the list. If it is not there, use the shader folder button and confirm the file is in shaderpacks.
3. Press Done and let the game reload.
How to tell it is working:
- Shaded spots under trees, in caves and at night look noticeably brighter than in vanilla.
- Torches and other light sources give off colored light.
- Water shows clean reflections.
- Colors look more vivid, but the world still keeps a vanilla-like style.
To go back to plain vanilla visuals, return to the same menu and choose OFF (OptiFine) or turn shaders off (Iris).
