Spot Opponents Hiding in Dark Corners During PVP

This pack is built for combat. It lifts deep shadows so players can't disappear into dark spots. It also sharpens textures and outlines so player models stand out. Here is how to use that in a fight.

Scanning dark areas

1. Check the usual hiding spots. Look at cave mouths, overhangs, the underside of trees and unlit corners of builds. With shadows lifted, these areas stay readable, so look into them directly.

2. Fight at night with more confidence. Low-light areas across the terrain are brightened, so night battles don't turn into guesswork.

3. Watch for silhouettes. Sharpened clarity makes player outlines pop against blocks. Sweep your view slowly across the terrain and look for a shape that breaks the pattern.

Adjusting to the brighter look

  • Set the vanilla Brightness slider in Video Settings to whatever feels comfortable. The pack already does the heavy lifting in shadows, so you may not need it maxed.
  • Practice in a familiar area first. It helps to see how bright your usual battlegrounds now look.
  • Don't assume darkness hides you. Shaders only change your own screen. However, an opponent running this pack or a similar one may see into the same corners you would hide in. Rely on cover and movement instead of shadows.
