Keep Your Frame Rate Smooth in Fast PVP Fights

Vantage PVP Shaders is designed to run smoothly on both Iris and OptiFine. You can still squeeze out extra frames for competitive play with a few vanilla and loader settings.

Measure first

1. Press F3 to open the debug screen and note your FPS.

2. Check it in the places you actually fight, such as busy arenas, forests and areas near water. Don't rely on an empty field.

3. Change one setting at a time and check the number again. That way you know what actually helped.

Settings worth lowering

  • Render Distance: This usually has the biggest impact. Most fights happen close up, so a shorter distance rarely hurts you.
  • Simulation Distance (if your setup has it): lowering this can ease the load.
  • Particles: reducing these cuts clutter and lag during hectic fights.
  • Clouds: turning these down or off frees up performance and clears the sky.
  • Entity Shadows: this is optional and usually safe to disable.

If the pack offers its own options in your loader's shader settings screen, look for heavier visual effects such as reflections. Test whether turning them down helps. Keep the shadow-lifting behavior, since that is what gives you the PVP advantage.

Still stuttering? The pack supports both loaders. If one runs poorly on your system, trying the other is a fair test. Close background programs before ranked or tournament matches.
