Turn On ThaiGlowLite Shaders in Iris or OptiFine

ThaiGlowLite is a shader pack, so it needs a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine before it can do anything. If you can't find a Shader Packs button in your video settings, the loader isn't installed.

Put the Pack in the Right Folder

1. Launch Minecraft and open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs. In OptiFine the button is labelled Shaders...

2. Click Open Shader Pack Folder. This opens the shaderpacks folder inside your .minecraft directory.

3. Drop the ThaiGlowLite .zip file into that folder. Do not unzip it. The loader reads the zip directly.

4. Go back to the Shader Packs screen. ThaiGlowLite should now appear in the list.

Activate and Check It

1. Click ThaiGlowLite Shaders to select it.

2. Press Apply, then Done. Iris applies the change immediately. OptiFine may pause briefly while it loads the pack.

3. Load a world and look around. You should see warm sunlight, softer daylight shadows, and gentle glows that still keep the classic vanilla look.

To compare with plain vanilla, return to the Shader Packs screen and select Off (Iris) or (internal) (OptiFine), then switch back. Iris also has a keybind for toggling shaders, listed under Controls. It lets you flip between the two looks without opening menus.
