Explore Caves and Nights More Comfortably with ThaiGlowLite

One of ThaiGlowLite's main features is brighter nights and clean, visible glows in dark nights and underground caves. That makes exploring and building after dark much easier on the eyes. Keep in mind that a shader only changes how the world *looks*, not how it *works*.

Use the Glow to Navigate

1. Enter a cave or step outside at night with ThaiGlowLite active. Notice how light sources stand out with soft glows and stay easy to spot from a distance.

2. Place torches or other light blocks along your route as breadcrumbs. The glow makes your trail easier to follow back to the surface.

3. When building at night, use the brighter view to check block placement and detailing without waiting for morning.

Remember: Shaders Don't Stop Mobs

Even if a cave looks well lit, mob spawning still follows the game's real light levels. ThaiGlowLite doesn't change those.

1. Press F3 and check the block light value where you're standing.

2. Light up dark corners properly with torches or other light sources, even when they look visible on screen.

3. Don't assume a bright-looking night outdoors is safe. Hostile mobs still spawn in the dark as normal.

If you're unsure how dark an area really is, briefly switch shaders off from the Shader Packs screen. That shows the vanilla lighting so you can spot gaps in your torch coverage.
