Optimize Sublime Visuals for Your Computer
Check Your Performance
Before adjusting settings, launch your world and open the debug screen (F3). Watch your frame rate during different times of day and weather. If you're dropping below your target FPS, the shader is working harder than your system can handle smoothly.
Reduce Visual Quality
Access the shader options through your video settings menu. Look for settings related to:
- Shadow quality — Lower shadow resolution reduces the detail of shadows cast across terrain
- Water reflections — Disabling or reducing reflection quality significantly improves performance
- Weather effects — Tone down rain and fog intensity if these cause stuttering
- Lighting updates — Some packs let you reduce how often the lighting recalculates
Start by lowering one setting at a time and test your frame rate. This helps you find the right balance between visual quality and smooth gameplay. If you're still experiencing lag, consider using a lower-end shader preset if your pack offers one, or temporarily disabling the shader in areas with many blocks or entities.
