Improve Weather Effects and Rain Visibility
Observe Enhanced Weather
Sublime Visuals upgrades rain and fog to look more realistic and atmospheric. When it rains, you'll notice improved water droplet effects and better fog that reduces visibility appropriately. These changes happen automatically without configuration.
Adjust Weather Intensity
If weather effects feel too strong or too subtle, access your shader settings:
- Rain intensity — Control how visible rain particles are and how much they obscure your view
- Fog density — Adjust how thick the fog appears during rain or at night
- Lightning brightness — Some packs let you control how bright lightning flashes are
Optimize for Your Preference
Weather effects can impact performance, especially on lower-end systems. If rain causes lag, reduce rain particle count or fog density. Conversely, if weather looks too subtle, increase these values. Test your changes during an actual rain event by using the /weather rain command to trigger rain immediately and see the results without waiting.
