Adjust Ink Outline Thickness and Visibility
Finding Outline Settings
Storybook shaders rely on geometry-aware ink lines to create their distinctive hand-drawn look. You can fine-tune how prominent these outlines appear on your blocks and terrain.
How to Customize
Open your shader options menu (usually accessed by pressing a key like O or through your shader settings panel in-game). Look for settings labeled Outline Strength, Edge Detection, or Line Thickness. These control how dark and bold the ink lines appear along block geometry.
If outlines feel too heavy and obscure detail, reduce the strength value. If they're barely visible, increase it. Some shader packs also offer separate controls for near outlines (close to camera) and far outlines (distant terrain), letting you balance readability at different distances.
Performance Note
Outline rendering is geometry-intensive. If you experience frame drops after adjusting these settings, try lowering outline strength or disabling outlines on distant blocks only. This keeps the storybook effect close to your character while improving performance in the distance.
