Troubleshoot Uneven Shading or Missing Outlines

Check Shader Compatibility

Ensure SketchPaper Shaders is the only shader active. Multiple shaders conflict and cause rendering errors. Disable all other shaders in Video Settings > Shaders before loading SketchPaper.

Verify Graphics Driver

Outdated graphics drivers can cause shader glitches. Update your GPU drivers (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) to the latest version. Restart Minecraft after updating.

Reset Shader Options

If settings are corrupted, locate the shader configuration file and delete it to restore defaults. Restart the game and reconfigure sliders gradually.

Check Render Distance and Chunks

Very high render distances sometimes cause outline artifacts. Lower render distance to 12-16 chunks and test if shading normalizes.

Inspect Specific Blocks or Mobs

If only certain blocks lack outlines, they may use custom textures incompatible with the shader. This is expected behavior. Standard Minecraft blocks should always render with clear sketches.

Report Persistent Issues

If problems persist across multiple locations and settings, document which blocks/mobs are affected and share details in community forums for further troubleshooting.
