Capture Screenshots with the Sketch Effect

Position Your Camera

Navigate to a visually interesting location—varied terrain, multiple mobs, or architectural structures work well. Position your camera to frame the scene clearly, avoiding extreme angles that distort the sketch effect.

Adjust Lighting Conditions

The sketch effect works best in varied lighting. Try screenshots during different times of day: dawn and dusk create dramatic shadows that enhance pencil-sketch contrast, while midday provides clear, bold outlines.

Frame Multiple Elements

Include a mix of blocks, mobs, and terrain in one shot. The hand-drawn effect looks most striking when contrasting elements—like a player next to mobs, or detailed structures against open landscape—appear together.

Take the Screenshot

Press F2 (default) to capture. The screenshot saves to your screenshots folder with the shader effect fully applied.

Enhance Post-Capture

Consider cropping or adjusting contrast in an image editor afterward to emphasize the sketch lines, though the raw screenshot should already showcase the cursed, cartoonish aesthetic effectively.
