Reduce Frame Rate Drops and Optimize Performance
Check Current Performance
Enable the FPS counter (F3 key by default) to monitor frame rate while playing. Note which areas cause the biggest drops—usually complex terrain or areas with many light sources.
Lower Shader Intensity
Access Shader Options and reduce:
- Shadow Quality – Lower settings decrease shadow detail but improve FPS
- Light Render Distance – Reduces how far colored lighting effects spread
- Ambient Occlusion – Disabling or lowering this setting can provide significant gains
Disable Optional Effects
Look for toggles for bloom, reflections, or advanced lighting modes. Turning these off preserves the shader's core brightness improvements while freeing up GPU resources.
Verify Results
Walk through your world again and check FPS. The shader is designed to run smoothly on lower-end hardware, so you should see stable frame rates even with moderate settings. If performance is still poor, consider lowering your render distance or other video settings outside the shader menu.
