Improve Nighttime Visibility Without Ruining Atmosphere

Balance Dark Areas and Mood

Serene Glowing Skies improves night visibility while keeping the cozy, moody feel. The shader automatically brightens dark areas, but you can refine this balance.

Access Lighting Controls

Open shader settings and find options for "Night Brightness," "Ambient Light," or "Shadow Darkness." These control how much light reaches shadowed terrain at night.

Tuning for Your Preference

If caves and night terrain are too dark to navigate safely, slightly increase ambient light or reduce shadow darkness. If nights feel too bright and lose their atmospheric quality, lower ambient light values. Test changes in caves, under trees, and in open night areas.

Finding the Sweet Spot

The goal is seeing clearly without losing the moody aesthetic. You should be able to navigate without torches while still feeling like nighttime. Adjust incrementally—small changes have noticeable effects. Different biomes may feel different; this is intentional and adds atmosphere.
