Maximize FPS While Keeping the Anime Visual Style
Reduce Render Distance Strategically
Lower your render distance in Video Settings before tweaking shader options. Rivet Lite is designed for potato PCs, but render distance affects all shaders equally. Start at 8-12 chunks and increase only if your frame rate stays stable.
Disable Unnecessary Visual Effects
In shader settings, look for toggles related to advanced lighting, reflections, or extra particle effects. Disabling these won't remove the anime aesthetic—the core colorful tones and soft shadows remain intact.
Lower Shadow Quality
Shadow resolution is often the biggest performance drain. Set it to low or medium; Rivet Lite's soft shadows still look good at lower quality and won't noticeably impact the visual style.
Monitor Your Frame Rate
Use F3 debug screen to watch FPS while making changes. Aim for a stable frame rate before prioritizing visual settings.
Verify Anime Look Remains
After optimizing, check that the colorful fantasy lighting and cartoon touch are still present. If the world looks too washed out or loses its character, you've cut too much—increase one setting at a time.
