Optimize RealisticLite for Better Frame Rates

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options by going to Options > Video Settings > Shaders, then click the settings icon next to RealisticLite's name. This opens a menu with adjustable parameters that control visual quality and performance.

Reduce Shadow Quality and Distance

Shadows are the most demanding feature in RealisticLite. Lower the shadow distance setting to reduce how far shadows render into the distance. You can also decrease shadow resolution or softness to gain frame rate without losing the shader's core look.

Disable or Lower Reflection Settings

If available, water and block reflections can be scaled back. Reducing reflection quality or disabling reflections on certain surfaces provides noticeable frame rate improvements.

Lower Ambient Occlusion or Bloom

Ambient occlusion (darkening in crevices) and bloom (light glow effects) add visual polish but cost performance. Reducing these settings helps maintain smooth gameplay on lower-end hardware.

Test and Iterate

Make one change at a time and play for a minute to feel the impact. Find the balance between visual quality and frame rate that works for your system.
