Troubleshoot Lighting Issues and Artifacts
Common Lighting Problems
If you notice strange shadows, flickering light, or areas that seem too bright or too dark compared to what you expect:
- Flickering or strobing: This often indicates a conflict between shader settings and your graphics driver. Try disabling God Rays temporarily to isolate the issue.
- Uneven cave lighting: Some areas may retain ambient light when they shouldn't. Check that dark caves mode is fully enabled in settings.
- Overly bright surfaces: If blocks appear washed out, reduce overall brightness or bloom settings.
Resetting to Defaults
Most shader menus include a "reset to default" option. Use this if you've made many changes and want to start fresh with known-good settings.
Checking Compatibility
Ensure your graphics driver is up to date, as shader packs rely on proper GPU support. If problems persist after adjusting all shader settings, try disabling other visual mods or resource packs that might conflict with Radiant Lite Rays' lighting system.
