Optimize Performance on Low-End Hardware
Checking Your Current Performance
Enable the FPS counter (usually F3 key in vanilla Minecraft) to monitor your frame rate while using Radiant Lite Rays. The shader is designed to maintain 60–100 FPS on integrated graphics like Intel HD, but your specific setup may vary.
Reducing Shader Load
If you're experiencing frame rate drops below 60 FPS, adjust these settings in order:
1. Disable God Rays entirely or reduce ray density and distance—this is the most performance-intensive feature
2. Lower shadow quality if available in the shader menu
3. Reduce render distance in your world settings
4. Disable or lower ambient occlusion settings
5. Turn off extra lighting effects like bloom or glow
Testing Changes
After each adjustment, fly around your world and check the FPS counter. Look for consistent frame rates in areas with many trees, caves, and sky visibility—these stress the shader most. Once you find stable settings, your experience should remain smooth during normal gameplay.
