Optimizing Fog and Sky Colors for Different Biomes

Understanding Atmospheric Fog

Radiant Atmospheric Glow applies soft fog that blends distant terrain into the sky, creating depth and atmosphere. This fog intensity varies by biome and time of day. In dense forests or mountains, fog is thicker; in open plains or deserts, it's lighter.

Adjusting Fog Distance

If distant terrain disappears too quickly and feels claustrophobic, look for fog distance or render distance settings in the shader menu and increase them. If fog feels too thin and the world looks flat, reduce fog distance slightly. The goal is a balance where far terrain fades smoothly without cutting off abruptly.

Sky and Sun Color Customization

The shader updates sky colors throughout the day cycle—dawn brings warm tones, noon is bright and clear, dusk glows orange and red. If these colors feel off or clash with your builds, some shader packs allow tweaking color temperature or saturation. Check the shader settings for sky-related sliders. Experiment during different times of day to see how adjustments affect the overall atmosphere.
