Radiant Atmospheric Glow Shaders FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on the shader and start seeing the glow effects?
Open your shader settings menu in-game (usually accessible from Video Settings) and select Radiant Atmospheric Glow from the available shader packs. The bloom and colored lighting should activate immediately; if you don't see changes, verify the shader is actually selected and not disabled.
My game is running slowly. Which settings should I lower first?
Start by switching to a lower performance profile (like Potato or Low) from the shader's settings menu—this adjusts bloom intensity, shadow quality, and fog complexity all at once. If you still need more performance, reduce bloom radius and shadow distance individually in the advanced options.
Why do glowing blocks and light sources look dim or not colorful?
Check that Colored Lighting is enabled in your shader settings and that the lighting intensity slider is not set too low. Also ensure you're not using a very low-end profile, which may reduce color saturation to save performance.
The fog is too thick and I can't see far. How do I fix it?
Open the shader settings and look for fog distance or fog density controls; increase the fog distance value to see further, or lower the density slider to make the fog thinner. Different biomes can have different fog settings, so check if you're adjusting the right biome profile.
Shadows in caves look strange or too dark. What's wrong?
This is often caused by shadow distance being too short or shadow quality being too high for your system. Try lowering shadow quality or increasing shadow distance in the advanced settings, or switch to a higher-end performance profile if your hardware supports it.
Do I need to install this on the server or just on my client?
Radiant Atmospheric Glow is a client-side shader pack only—install it only on your client. The server does not need it, and it won't affect multiplayer gameplay or other players' views.
Will this shader work with other visual mods like custom resource packs?
Yes, shaders generally work alongside resource packs. However, if you're using mods that heavily alter lighting or block rendering, test them together first—some combinations may cause visual conflicts or performance issues.
The sun and sky colors look washed out or wrong for the time of day.
Adjust the sky and sun color settings in the shader menu to match your preference. If colors look completely wrong, check that your brightness and gamma settings in Minecraft's Video Settings aren't overriding the shader's colors.
Leaves and grass don't look refreshed like the description says. Why?
Make sure foliage enhancement is enabled in your shader settings. If it's on but you still don't see a difference, try switching to a higher performance profile—lower profiles may disable foliage improvements to save performance.
Can I use this shader in a modpack or with Fabric/Forge mods?
Shaders work independently of mod loaders, so yes—install the shader through your launcher's shader folder and it will work with any modpack. Just ensure your system can handle both the shader and any mods you're running together.
