Troubleshoot Purple Tinting That Looks Wrong
Checking Your Setup
If Purpliness isn't displaying the purple theme correctly, start with the basics:
1. Verify the shader is actually enabled in your shader settings menu
2. Make sure you're not in a cave or underground area where lighting is naturally dark
3. Try moving to an open area with direct sunlight to see the full effect
4. Check that no other conflicting shaders or visual mods are active simultaneously
Fixing Color Issues
If colors look washed out, inverted, or wrong:
- Restart your game completely and reload the world
- Disable and re-enable the shader through the settings menu
- Check your monitor's color settings—some displays need calibration
- If using other mods that affect rendering, try disabling them one at a time to identify conflicts
- Lower your graphics settings (especially brightness) to see if that helps the purple tint show properly
If performance is very poor, the shader may be too demanding for your system. Consider using a lighter shader instead.
