Fix PR1SMLITE Not Showing Up or Not Looking Different

If PR1SMLITE seems to do nothing, the cause is usually setup, not the pack itself.

The Pack Isn't in the List

  • Check for a loader. If Options > Video Settings has no Shader Packs button, your game is not running Iris or OptiFine. Shaders cannot load without one.
  • Check the folder. The file must be in shaderpacks, not resourcepacks. Use the folder button inside the Shader Packs screen to make sure you're in the right place.
  • Don't unpack it wrongly. Leave a zip file zipped. If you extracted it, make sure the pack's folder sits directly inside shaderpacks and isn't buried an extra level down.
  • Refresh the list. Close and reopen the Shader Packs screen after adding the file.

It's Selected but Looks the Same

This is often expected. PR1SMLITE deliberately keeps the classic vanilla look and avoids heavy effects. A sunny field may look almost unchanged.

To confirm the pack is working:

1.

2. Place glowstone, a lantern or some lava.

3. Look for a soft glow spreading around the light. That bloom is the pack's signature effect.

If there's still no glow, open the Shader Packs screen. Make sure PR1SMLITE is highlighted, not Off, and click Apply.

The Game Is Still Slow

The pack is light, but a high render distance can still bog down weak hardware. Lower Render Distance first, then reduce clouds and particles.
