Fix PKFL Visuals Not Showing Up or Looking Like Vanilla
If you've picked PKFL Visuals but your world looks completely unchanged, or the pack is missing from the list, work through these checks in order.
The pack isn't in the list
1. Make sure you launched the game with your shader loader (Iris or OptiFine). A plain vanilla launch has no shader menu at all.
2. In the shader menu, use the button that opens the shaderpacks folder. Check that the PKFL Visuals file is in that folder, not in resourcepacks. Shader packs and resource packs live in different folders.
3. Leave the file as it is. Don't rename it or unpack it into a loose folder unless you know your loader expects that.
4. Close the menu and reopen it so the list refreshes.
The pack is selected but nothing changes
1. Confirm you clicked Apply or Done after selecting the pack.
2. Check whether shaders were toggled off with your loader's toggle key. Look in Controls → Key Binds to see which key that is.
3. Remember that PKFL Visuals is designed to stay close to vanilla. The changes are softer lighting and a warmer, cozy tone, not a dramatic overhaul. Compare it with shaders off at sunset or under torchlight, when the difference is easiest to see.
4. If the screen turns black or the game crashes, turn shaders off and check your loader's error message or log for the cause.
